When I mentioned in my Peter Collins interview comments about Lotus Cars being the only legitimate company or group
to run an F1 team with Lotus in it I little dreamed it would happen though it was a logical outcome for any car manufacturer
with a name like Lotus to live up to though not too sure if Lotus Cars are involved
I read with horror
about a resurected "Team "Lotus a few months ago .It seemed to me to be cobbled up,contrived , and too much tradition
pushed to the front ,along with old cars ,old names,old photos ,but no money ,which was about the only real connection
with the old TEAM Lotus .It would never be Team ,thats long gone .
Its one thing
to start a race team in F1 ,we can all dream but lets be honest ,its not Team Lotus ,BRM or Vanwall or ATS (god forbid ) .Leave
the history to archivists and know all forums .
Lotus F1 Racing is its own master ,It has no history
to drag up , no old cups to show off ,no old drivers to remind them of greater days , just a clean sheet .
So
lets hear it for Lotus F1 Racing .
But dont use Kett Hall to launch the bloody thing
