IT was a vivid autumn afternoon when the crew arrived to start ballasting the Buckenham station section .The crossing gates
were open giving a very close up view of the ballasting operation
FIRE AND STEEL
At Strumpshaw Fen I was fortunate enough to arrive with my camera and tripod just as the spectacular railwelding sequence
lasting just a few seconds ,was being processed .
By good luck it was just by the crossing and allowed me to get this shot .
